A meeting with a delegation from the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was held at the Aral Sea International Innovation Center. The visit was aimed at familiarizing guests with the Center's activities and its research and practical initiatives implemented in the Aral Sea region.
During the meeting, the guests were provided with detailed information about the activities of the Aral Sea International Innovation Center, its ongoing research, and practical projects aimed at restoring the region's ecosystem, implementing innovative solutions in arid climates, and developing sustainable environmental management.
The delegation included Professor Wang Zhenbo, Deputy Director of the Center for Geographical Indications Research of the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Professor Liu Chuan, Chief Researcher of the Center for Geographical Indications Research and Director of the World Data Center for Global Change Research (GCdataPR); and Ms. Li Liming, Secretary of the Center.
The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, including the exchange of scientific data, joint research, and the development of practical initiatives in the areas of ecology, sustainable natural resource management, and adaptation to the effects of climate change.
Following the talks, the meeting participants expressed mutual interest in developing a long-term partnership, expanding scientific cooperation, and strengthening international scientific ties.
